Overview
Seattle Gymnastics Academy (SGA) provides a safe, positive, and progressive environment for gymnasts of all ages. This guide is designed to help our families navigate enrollment, billing, safety protocols, and missed classes.
1. Enrollment & Membership
SGA operates on a continuous enrollment system rather than fixed sessions. This means your child's spot is held month-to-month until you submit a formal withdrawal.
When can I join? Since enrollment is continuous, new gymnasts can join at any time during the year, provided there is space in the class.
Waitlists: If a class is full, you may join up to three waitlists. When a spot opens, all families on the waitlist are notified simultaneously via email/app, and the spot is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Promotions: Students are continuously evaluated. When a coach determines a student is ready for the next level, you will be notified of their "Promotion" status to help you find a new class time.
2. Billing & Payments
To keep things simple, tuition is amortized over the year to ensure a consistent monthly rate.
Payment Due Date: Monthly tuition is processed on the 28th of the month for the upcoming month (e.g., October tuition is charged on September 28th).
Payment Methods: We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and checks. We recommend keeping a primary payment method on file in your [SGA Parent Portal] for automatic processing.
Fees: A lifetime registration fee applies to all new members. Late payments or returned checks may incur additional fees.
3. Absences & Makeup Tokens
We understand that life happens! SGA offers a flexible makeup policy through our digital token system.
Reporting an Absence: You must report your child's absence at least 24 hours in advance via the SGA App or Website to receive a makeup token.
Using Tokens: * Each student receives up to 12 makeup tokens per year.
Tokens can be used to book an available spot in a class of the same level up to 7 days in advance.
Tokens expire 45 days after issuance.
Limitations: Makeups are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. If you withdraw from SGA, any unused tokens are forfeited.
4. Withdrawal Policy
If you need to take a break or stop classes, we require written notice.
Deadline: Withdrawal requests must be submitted via our Online Drop Form no later than the 1st of the month to stop enrollment for the following month.
Example: To stop classes for June, you must submit the form by May 1st.
Medical Drops: Prorated credits may be issued for medical reasons when accompanied by a doctor's note.
5. What to Wear & Gym Safety
Safety is our top priority. Please ensure your gymnast is dressed for success!
Attire: Leotards are preferred. Alternatively, tucked-in t-shirts and leggings/shorts (no zippers or buttons) are acceptable.
Footwear: Gymnasts should be in bare feet. Adults entering the gym floor for "My Kid & Me" classes must wear socks.
Safety Rules: * No running in the lobby or viewing areas.
No flash photography.
Wait for a coach's invitation before entering the equipment area.
